Established in the early 1970′s as a subsidiary of PC Henderson, Brio became independent in 1988. This autonomy brought the freedom to develop products for the Australian market. Over the next 15 years Brio developed and evolved for the global market, producing cutting edge designs such as Weatherfold exterior folding door hardware. In 2015 Allegion plc, a leading global security products and solutions provider, acquired Brio as part of its Asia Pacific operations.

Brio’s R&D department continues to bring a strong design element to the business, developing and testing ground breaking concepts that continue to be at the forefront of the industry.
